I had a chance to read a book named The Parable of Pipeline [Thai Edition] was written by Burke Hedges. The content was about how to get money wisely. There were two men in a village getting money by carrying water from the lake to the village well. One man was happy with this work which money was good, and the other, also carried water like the first one, but was planning to dig the pipeline for the water running to the well without carrying, and getting money long term. He persuaded the first one to join but being refused. He had already enjoy carrying. However, The man continued his idea by taking his free time to dig the pipeline which was very hard work and got progress little by little. Finally, after a very long time, his plan was successful and he enjoyed good return without using his energy anymore. He had a furthur plan to dig pipeline in other villages and spreaded this victory out to over the world. Certainly, he must have a staff. He invited his friend to join and got him afterward.
The writer compared this story with the business. There were 2 kinds of business, one imitated to carrying water and the other was about digging pipeline. For example, working for money day by day even being a doctor or dentist, if oneday, a man got sick and could not work, he would not have money, and the money saving would be gone easily. Other type of work was the invention of the set of activities. This was like a pipeline, such as hospital, school, department stores, and industry, etc
Income of a man should devided into three parts, one for daily expense, two for saving and three for making a sideline[digging a pipeline] The writer also recommended that, pipeline could be an e- business where people could display goods, buy and sale. Other example was a line of business where the head quarters and branches were cooperate with each other. The executive and workers must work in a set of system. Lastly, buying stocks, or investment funds which were secured could be other pipelines too. These activities were in line like machine.
Look at the pipeline digging, it is a really hard work, the job is done little by little, the man doing the job must put effort, strenght, and stand for the success even it is so hard and hard. Explaining that, there is nothing come to a man without trouble. If we study hard we can get a good job, if we don't study we have to work as labour instead. But even we are labour, we must learn how to save money, and plan for pipeline. We can be achieved even we study less in school. There were so many successful people who had less time in school. Life long education by working and thinking are more important. Brain is the most important machine for a man. Use brain. Start and invest little by little. Small is beautiful.
For the brain, experience is the main idea. We learn by doing and having mistakes. Sometimes we learn from the others. Fiends family and colleagues play role for success. We must get friends, or other words, being popular in the society. Good Human Relation. And occasionally, try to find one own natural talent in doing things such as drawing, sports, mechanics, science, taking pictures, etc. Try a pipeline. Chavalvut
