I went to the city centre last Saturday

On March 21st which was Saturday, I went to Central World at the city centre with my wife and grand nephew. We passed through Bangkok interesting views and took some pictures. They are as following

The shrine of God Brahma at Arawan Hotel. The shrine has some miracular power, people get things as they wish. This reputation is believed by the people not only in Thailand but from many Asian Countries, particularly Hongkong and China.


The position we took the pictures was from the walking fly over above the main road. There were many foreigners taking pictures at this corner.

In front of Central World, where they always celebrate and count down on new year eves. They also organize some activities and entertainments for the visitors and passing people.



This is a shopping Centre opposite to Central World. The place is for the middle class and up. Prices are high but it was good to visit and walk around. The people shopping in this area must have something special than the average ones.


This is the game that a man throw a coconut milk coat peanut down to other man's mouth down below. I think it is a risky game in case the peanut could go deeply to the throat without chewing. Don't play with them. Dangerous!

The time of pensioner at the age of 63 are free. But the decision of what to do is depend on some factors such as family opinion, financial situation, weather, etc. However, I enjoy going out even spending more time at home. Chavalvut

Some incidents at home, don't repeat my mistakes

Last Saturday late night, I watched the programme "The Star Show" on TV. It was the singing contest. There were about 8 competitors who were young, beautiful, enthusiastic and capable. They sang with some dancing performances. I was really fond of this programme. That time, I was so sleepy, but still tried to open my eyes to watch it. At the end of the show, there were the popular vote for the competitors by the audiences both in the show and out at home. One who got the least score had to be out every week until the last few left. I felt that I was at the room where the competitors waited. There was a young man came to me and told me that I got the least vote and had to be out this time. I was surprised if I was one of the competitors and tried to rewind my brain back to the show and I found none. Then I suddenly awoke. The truth was that I felt asleep and dreamt of the contest and made myself one of the competitor. They were happened at the same time and situation, real performance and dream. Ridiculous?

Last few day at night again, I was in deep sleep until 2 in the morning. I got up to the toilet as usual and came back to sleep. Getting to the mattress laying on the floor, I knelt down on the mattress before lying as I have regularly done it everyday. It was not the mattress this time but my knee hit on the floor which was the corner of connecting wood board. My knee got the big bleeding wound and hurt. My sleeping mood changed and I got angry that I usually had a hard sleep at night. This time I was awake again. The wound still remains.

After retiring and staying home, I do the washing-up after eating. My big enemy was ant. I could not see ant but there were some on the floor. They were very tiny. When I was doing the washing-up, an ant climbed up from my foot but I did not feel. Besides, my hands soaked with washing-up liquid. The ant bited me at the topper leg, made me some pain and itchy. I could not remove it because my hands were still wet. I stood for a while until finished, could not find any ant even got angry at it. It was so tiny but a big enemy and made us hurt for a while.

These incidents can be happened. They just be some small incidents. I am glad I get only these funny experiences. However, now I am trying the good behaviours, such as being kind and helpful, being optimistic, eating healthy food and limiting of alcoholic beverage, and doing some exercises. Building a house in Rayong

Dear Selina

I always think of you and know that your mother is going to build a house in Rayong. This is going to be yours in the future. Rayong is an eastern province in Thailand. The riany season is more than 6 months and dry season is slightly less. There are some mosquitoes and many creatures because of warm climate.
I enjoy looking at the houses and wish to have another rural house but I have no chance. Therefore I would like to show idea from my dream. The house should be 2 storeys. The second floor is for bed rooms and bath room, whereas the first floor is for sitting room, another bath room, dining including decorated kitchen. First floor should be more than one metre above the ground and attach with a vast balcony. The balcony should have a part under roof and the rest without. Balcony is the resting place for sittng, out eating, socialising, and meditative walking. This corner can be furnished with trees and flower plants. Don't grow fruits near our roof, fruits are too heavy. Wall between the sitting room connected with balcony should be a big glass door and/or windows for the sun light getting in. Thai people enjoy spending time on balcony more than inside.

When I visited houses in the northern Thailand and Pakchong, Nakornrachsima. I always admired their beautiful decorated balconies and wished that I had a big balcony house up slope in Chiangmai or Pakchong. In the cold or dry season, I could sit outside with family and friends, with some drinks. It was a happiness to sit with close company, trees, under cool and dry. I never refused if anyone ask me to go to Home Pro or Home Mart. I enjoyed looking at the new invented articles for home and dreamt of mine. On the weekend, I went to the plant markets at some open markets to see if there were interesting plants. Hope that you, Selina will come to live in Thailand at least sometime in a year. Going to Chiangmai, March 7-9, 2009

Between March 7-9, 2009, we [Nong Bim, I, Mae Tid, Pa Bee, Bobby and Loong Mai] went to Chiangmai to follow up Nong Bim's two units two storeyed Townhouse construction. He had requested the bank loan to invest in this matter for 30 year instalments. We left home about 6.00am [Pa Bee and Bobby went by plane but came back with us whereas Loong Mai had already been back home in Chiangmai] We stopped to cash money at the bank and fill up the fuel and tyre's pressure at the fuel station before taking off. With this trip, we loaded the tiles weighing 400 kg. from Saraburi to furnished with this house. We arrived in Chiangmai around 2.00 pm from direct trip with 2 stops at the rest areas for resting. In Chiangmai, we went straight to some fishball noodle for lunch. After that we went to the construction site, unloaded the tiles and waited for Nong Bim discussing some business with the contracted builder. Getting back to the Chiangmai Orchid Hotel in the late afternoon we met Pa Bee and Bobby having already registered two rooms there. We always stayed in this hotel because it looked elegant, inexpensive, safe and near the shopping mall. In the evening, we went to Loong Mai's home for a northern style dinner that Pa Ampa, Pee Tam, Pee Tom and Pee Tong cooked. I met Ar Anan and Ar Ubolwan, our close family friends at Loong Mai's home too. They brought some food to join us. Delicious! As a matter of fact, I was really addicted to Thai local food in every regions and have enjoyed northern food since being young while living with friends. I was happy that everyone there seem to be so healthy. After getting back to the hotel and took a good night sleep, I got up early in the morning for exercise as usual and went to the convenient store in front of the hotel buying beakfast for myself. I got Sea Food Fried Rice. Others ate at the hotel restuarant with coupons.

The town house so far looked good. One unit was suitable to 2-4 persons. There were 2 bed rooms, 2 rest rooms, 1 sitting room and 1 kitchen.

On the second day, Nong Bim and us went on shopping by considering the tiles' style, electric lamp, etc. It took all day to walk around an electric lamp store, Home Pro, and other home mart . Then, the last destination was Ban Thawai where the wooden furnitures and decorated articles were shown.

Mae Tid and Nong Bim were so busy looking for the suitable light. Then, after Home Pro, we had lunch at Plathong[Golden Fishes] Restuarant where the price was cheap,[around 400 baht totally] and the condition was safe. We could not find the restuarant like this in Bangkok. In the evening, we went to have dinner at the One Baht Boiled Rice Restuarant. Food and facilities were profssional and we enjoyed it. Then we got back to the hotel and passed out with exhauted

In the morning, we felt fresh and took some pictures in front of the hotel. Tricycle was an important vehicle for the urban people in the old days. On the last day, Nong Bim went out for his business but we went on shopping at Wanas sa nan Shop and other shop selling local food. There was a music band playing by the blind students and everyone in our group donated to the band without telling each other.

I wish that there must be a miracle in the future to make them happy.


I looked so old at the age of 63. But it was me, a man who used to work hard and donated myself to all works for all life. Too much stress life. Now I am retired with the old appearance. This is a fact of nature. I am walking to the end and disappear back to the nature one day.

Tid looked different. She was fresh and helped Nong Bim making decision. Nong Bim now has his own building house. Someone said that, building the second home was more perfect than the first one. The first one, we still did not have any experience. These words could be used for other things in life too. But, is there a chance to have a second home? Many ones do, I don't.

I'd like to show some figures about my Toyota Hilux Vigo. On the way from Bangkok going to the Fuel station in Chiangmai near the way back to Bangkok, on the last day, the distance was 809.4 kilometres. It took 75.817 litres diesel fuel. The capacity was 10.675 kilometres per litres. This figure included the 400 kilogrammes of tiles loading from Bangkok. The tyres pressure was 30 pounds front wheels and 35 pounds rear wheels.
The distance from that fuel station in Chaingmai going back to Bangkok home was 661.8 kilometres. The diesel fuel was taken about 60.71 litres. [It was 663.2 to the fuel station near my home.] It took about 10.924 kilometres per litres. From these figures, finding that the load of 400 kilogrammes of tiles did not effect much to the fuel intake. But for the heavy loaded, the calculation of losses was not in my idea now.

About the police. Since I bought this pick up car and drove on the high ways, we have been stopped by the police for checking at every check points whereas other sedan cars have not. On the way to Chiangmai, we were stopped at the check point and the police asked Nong Bim as driver that where we were going to. And on the way back to Bangkok, we were stopped at the check point and the police checked driving license from Nong Bim while other cars had passed through. We have to accept these incidents but the pick up, however, has it's advantage of being big and loaded lots of things

Incidents in last February

As knowing that, February 26th was my 63 birthday. Time passes so fast, the age that I worked was like yesterday. As usual, we had a small party at home for the old friends coming. It was a kind of reunion because someone came the long way from different parts of the country. We used to work at the same places when being young.
I don't know how many birthday parties will take place in the years coming, up to my luck and health. I promise to carry out the parties at home every years until there is no one coming or I am not here anymore. Besides, importantly, I was so happy to receive a happy birthday wishes from family, friends and relatives through internet, phone, letter and wishing words. Thanks a lot, everyone.
During my birthday occasion, there was an incident about a flat room belong to my oldest son. The tenant broke the contract by not paying the rent, destroyed the room with burning cigarettes and alcoholic drinking. Apart from the smoking smell, the room was detroyed by the wall paint and washing sink being spotly burnt and sharpened equipment scratched. My son then closed the room and threw all tenant's property out of the room. he brought a big screen TV back home as a guarantee of the rent payment. The incident went up side down, the tenant went to the police and sued my son for stealing crime. We paid more than 17,000 baht to end this case and wished that the tenant wouldn't do this with other people again. In buddhism, we thought that my son might be in debt with her before[ the tenant was a lady] and paid her for the debt. He should think of nothing and forgive her, atleast for the resting mind. And everything should be a legal lesson for my son.

Last year, I bought 2 long term capital fund from the bank for the purpose of tax reduction. One of the fund[Mutual Fund],it's value was stable but the other[Long Term Equity Fund] was down significantly. The figure showed that I lost 60,000 baht for the total stocks of 200,000 baht. But I had to wait for other 4 years by which the sum can be finally calculated. However, I could save about 50,000 baht of tax deduction. Hoping that in the next 4 years, the stocks value could be increased. The money which I bought these fund were not mine, I borrowed from my sister.
I hope that the years coming could be better. I have no further plan for having fun but going for the MRI test[Magnetic Resonance Imaging], blood test, and seeing a cardiac doctor at the hospital at the end of March. Besides, I'll do things for the family friends and relatives. Chavalvut Chainuvati
