Rai Papassara Muak-lek Saraburi

On Sunday August 23rd, I went to Rai Papassara, Muak-lek. This was the grape yard and also other big part was a grass land for horse riding. The distant was about 160 km. far from Bangkok or about 30 km. from Muaklek. It was in Salaang Pan near Wangmuang District. I came to this place sometimes before, as being the crop specialist, this location is one of the big growing areas. In front of the farm, there was the restuarant with the counter to sell their products where I had lunch and bought many boxes of grape pie back home. After eating, I drove into the farm to the open hut in front of the grape yard. That was a place I bought some more pie and walk around.



This was the place where I ate. The back ground scenery was the grass land for horse riding which was very big, hundred hectare? The farm charge 50 baht per one ride. Saying that, the horse riding therapy was for the sicks or the youngs who their legs, arms, and brain are abnormal.


Many kinds of food in the restuarant were mixed with grape paste such as salad dressing, icecream, jelly, soft drink, etc. I had salad for the main course but ice cream and jelly mixing together for the dessert.


The way in and out from the main road to the hut in front of the grape yard which was the place in the farm where demonstrated and sold the grape products. At the back of the hut, there was a land for grape yard.


It was Sunday [23th] afternoon. I went there for a change and relieved my headache, but I did not ride a horse. It was not good for my deteriorated back bone. My stress which accumulated in my brain seemed to be recover.



I took this picture by myself. My real face might looked old and funny but my heart was trying to be young. Looking for someone to care.


In front of the grape yard. I didn't know how many hectare this area was. But comparing to many various kinds of grape product including wines. I hope that this plantation was only for the tourists to look at the grape, not the area for the whole products come from. They might need a bigger farm to produce more grape.


Small fruits in a bunch. It took quite a while from the flowering to the fruit harvesting.


There are 2 stages of the plant growth. vegetative stage while the stem and leave are growing and reproductive stage while it's flowers and fruits are forming. This was in the first period of fruit forming.



The name of the grape cultivar.


Grape is the indeterminate running stem crop. It needs the stake structure for the trees to catch. It is easy to observe and identify the grape farm. There are famous vine yards in France, Italy, Australia, California, etc, where the winery are very well known.


Saying that drinking grape juice or eating grape everyday make us good health. It's flavonoid substance is anti-oxidant that make us less risky of cancer and heart disease.


It was time to get back home. I was envious the farm owner because I used to dream about having a big farm like this when I was the student. The farm gave us the good climate and air to breathe. When I can manage the time, I would come out to the farm again.
