April is going to be my busy month because my daughter and her family are coming back home from Los Angeles. They would be in Thailand for about 3 weeks. Now, they have got a new member, almost one year old boy, his name is Liam. We have been watching his progressive growth in Facebook and not long from now, we are going to touch him.
On April 3rd, we are going to my father hometown[Prachinburi] to visit our ancestor cemetery. It is the occasion of Chinese event called "Chengmeng". This event is calling the family members to visit their ancestor tombs for redecorating and feeding ancestor's spirits.
On April 9-10, we are going to Rachaburi where is my mother hometown. Again, to visit my mother ashes which have been kept in the base of the buddha statue in the temple of Wat Sawang Ar rom. This time is her birthday and the day of death. [April 3rd] We take this opportunity to offer food and facility to the monks in that temple and request the monks pray for blessing us. After that we are heading to Huahin to visit the famous beach town which has been well known before my birth. We are going to spend the night some where there and come back on the next day. On the way back, we may stop at Damnoensaduak, a famous floating market, and Ampawa, an other floating market.
Between April 13-17, it is Songkran Festival or Thai New Year. We plan to go to Chiangmai for playing water. The young people flow water to others and they have a lot of fun playing. The weather is very warm and it is good to get soaked all day.
This is the time for the young people come back home to their parents and family. The government announce Songkran Festival as also "old people day"
My daughter and family plan to get back to LA. on April 26th. We all will miss them particularly Liam. I don't know when or how long we are going to see them again. This is life. Nature of life make us meet, get together and then leave. We will wish that everyone in my family will get all good things and lead thier lives to the progressive ways. Wish them to be healthy and have some bright future. Chavalvut
