Recently, I have been to many funerals, two of which were my friends' The first one, a big stomach guy, was dead because he bent down to look under the car in order to find some broken part. He suddenly collapsed and died instantly without anyone near by. The second one was the retired high rank officer who was preparing some notes for the lecture he was to give in the next few hours at a university. His head fell down on the table while he was working and passed away. Poor guys. I thought they both had some cardio-vascular problems.
Another guy, also one of my friend was lying on the bed in a hospital in Pathumtanee, and he would be like that until the end. He had the stroke, and the brain was treated by operation.
Mostly, the popular causes that make people sick or dead are cancers and accidents. Heart and blood vessel also become the real problem. However, we have to walk on the road directed to one end, heaven. The weaks walk shorter and get to heaven faster whereas the healthy people mostly walk longer. To be healthy, there are many factors concern. First one is luck. Lucky in health is not for everyone but they pray for it, just to lead the normal lives.
I always say that meditation is the way to make peace in mind. If mind is in peace, I hope that health will be in normal and the road to heaven is longer. If we want to be in peace, first of all, we have to practise how to make our minds to get away from hatred, anger, jealousy and sense of possessive. Giving and forgiveness are the effective criteria to kill that four bad feeling.
I always say to the people next to my routine life that, let think in positive ways, people may do things which would be harmful to us or make us bad in physical or mind, but if we try to understand him, he might not intend to do it. Something happen with some reason we don't know, look positively at him and we will be more happy that way.
I am not good in meditation but I read from the book, Luang Poo Cha, he said that for the people who still have some activities to do, meditation was not only sitting, closing eyes, and thinking of one object. While we are doing anything, we can set our mind meditated by making mind peaceful and thinking of what we are doing only.
Lord Buddha said that our bodies consisted of soil, water, air and fire. In our modern subject, soil represents substances and minerals, water means all fluid, air the gases which we breathe and fire is the metabolism which produce heat. Therefore, our bodies are not stable and will be able to change form. After death, our bodies go back to soil, water, air and fire. We don't own anything and we are no one.
See you around here, and don't get away to the heaven too fast. Read my blog and have a rest, before going exercise and having high fibre and nutritious food.

Indigestive stomach
Dear Guy,
I heard that you went to the hospital for the stomach scanning because of your food indigestibility. I would like to recommend some points, they are:-
1. Eat a lot of various kinds and colours of vegetable and fruit. Soluble fibre from vegetable and fruit help to carry fat from the blood vessels to the large intestine directly. Doctor said that we should eat 400 gramme of vegetable and fruit [half kilogramme] a day for minimizing the risk of digestive system cancer. from Doctor again, we eat a lot of breakfast and lunch but should not have dinner or have only a little dinner in the evening before getting dark. The stomach needs a few hours to digest some food before sleeping. And, don't lie down after the moment of eating. But for vegetable and fruit for dinner, I think it's OK. The enzyme could be adjust to the appropriate eating habit as we are changing, for example, if we don't have dinner, we won't be hungry because there is no enzyme stimulating at that time.
2. When you wake up every morning, drink a big glass of water. I drink as equal to 3 stainless steel cups or about 1.25 litres. But don't follow me, I think I drink too much water in the morning.
3. I practise light exercise every morning for 1-2 hours and every after dinner for other half or one hour. A part from morning walk, I also exercise by stretching out my hands and legs, weight lifting, elbow lifting on the double bars, and 120 times push up, etc.
When I was young, I had one hour running every morning but now I know it was too much, my bone structure have deteriorated from that over doing.
I won't recommend you to follow my daily practice but you may learn from many people how they do for themselves and be strong. Last one, don't sit in front of TV all day for watching TV and operating computer. Staying out door is very necessary for all of us. Being in Thailand, you need to be out door for a good breath at least a few hours every day. Chavalvut Chainuvati
